In September 2010, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officials received 404 calls to the Crime-Stoppers hotline, out of which 133 were assessed as not serious.

In the aforementioned time period, citizens submitted 61 useful information on committed or planned criminal offences and their perpetrators, based on which the same number of reports was made.

The majority of information was related to criminal offences of unauthorised sale of narcotic drugs (11), unauthorised possession of arms or explosive substances (10), criminal offences under jurisdiction of internal control (8).

Out of the total number of useful information, 56 of them, along with the reports, were forwarded to competent B&H police authorities for further processing, and 5 information were related to criminal offences from SIPA competence.

Within the reporting period, 48 feedback information were received from competent police authorities, based on which it was determined that 2 reports on committed criminal offences and perpetrators were submitted to competent Prosecutor’s Offices, 4 reports were submitted for assessment as well as a minor offence report.

SIPA’s police officials gave 210 recommendations to the citizens who called 080 020 505 – Crime-Stoppers hotline.
