At the business premises used by E.M., 8.545 “pirated” CDs and DVDs were detected and seized, and within the premises used by A.P. 5.148 illegal carriers of image and sound were seized. A somewhat smaller number of “pirates” (804 pieces) was detected at the stall used by J.M.

The police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency will submit a report on the committed criminal offence set out in the Article 243 of the CC B&H (Unauthorised Usage of Copyrights) Against E.M., A.P. and J.M. to the Prosecutor’s Office of B&H.

This action was carried out upon the order from the Court of B&H with the assistance of the Canton Sarajevo MoI Support Unit.

The action carried out is a continuation of activities with the aim of copyright protection. We would like to point out that in 2010 the State Investigation and Protection Agency’s police officials detected and seized around 112.000 pirated CDs and DVDs with a market value close to a million BAM.
