Three Persons Apprehended and Six Buildings Searched in Čajniče

Today, December 16th, 2009, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) apprehended three persons with initials M.K., M.Ž. and D.T. in Čajniče area due to grounded suspicion that they committed, in the period from April to December 1992, a criminal offence set out in the article 172, paragraph (1) item h) in relation to items a), e), f) i k) (Crime against Humanity) and in relation to article 180, paragraph (1) and (2) of the Criminal Code of B&H (Individual Criminal Liability).

After criminal processing at SIPA premises, the apprehended persons will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of B&H for further processing upon whose orders this action was carried out.

Pursuant to order of the Court of B&H the search of six housing and other facilities was conducted in Čajniče. All possible documentation found in relation to the war period will be, along with the report on conducted search, submitted to the Court of B&H.

The action was carried out in cooperation with police officials of the Ministry of Interior of Republic of Srpska.
