SIPA Searched Residential and Business Facilities in Brčko and Tuzla for Tax Evasion

On Saturday (21/11/2015), police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched residential and business facilities in the area of Brčko District B&H and Tuzla, used by individual identified by initials FO from Tuzla due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offences of tax evasion, smuggling and illicit storage of goods, in conjunction with Article 249 of the CC B&H “Associating for the Purpose of Perpetrating Criminal Offences”.

The search resulted in detection and seizure of items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings such as: bills, invoices, delivery notes, forms, a variety of records, mobile phones and SIM cards, processor, certain amount of money and other items. SIPA police officials searched also two lorries in order to find evidence.

These activities were carried out upon orders of the Prosecutor’s Office B&H and Court B&H in cooperation with members of the Indirect Taxation Authority B&H, Brčko District Police and Tuzla Canton MoI.

The individual with initials FO was interrogated as suspect and activities in this case continue.
