Today (8/10/2014) – Acting upon orders of the Court B&H and Prosecutor’s Office B&H, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) searched business facilities - a copy shop in Foča under the case code-named “Zuns” aimed at suppression of impermissible use of copyrights. These activities were carried out in cooperation with police officials of RS MoI.

The search was conducted on grounded suspicion of commission of criminal offence under Article 243 of the CC B&H “Impermissible Use of Copyrights” in conjunction with the Law on Copyright and Related Rights in B&H.

The search resulted in detection and seizure of several pieces of copied books of various authors and computer equipment.

The seized computer equipment will be subject to expertize and the report against the liable person and owner of the business will be submitted the Prosecutor’s Office B&H.

Under this case, SIPA officials interrogated as a suspect the individual with initials MM while two individuals were interrogated as witnesses.

SIPA continues the activities with a view to suppress impermissible use of copyrights.
