SIPA Arrested Three Individuals in “Čekić“ Operation

Yesterday (25/02/2015) – Police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency have arrested three individuals in the area of Sarajevo and searched three locations with the aim of detecting and seizing items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

The individuals identified by initials AM (1953), RB (1966) and SŠ (1971) have been deprived of liberty due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence under Article 217 of the CC B&H „Accepting Gifts and other Forms of Benefits, criminal offence under Article 220 of the CC B&H “Abuse of Office or Official Authority”, criminal offence under Article 238 of the CC B&H “Violation of Law by a Judge” and criminal offence under Article 209 of the CC B&H “Money Laundering“.

The activities have been carried out upon orders of the Court B&H and Prosecutor’s Office B&H.     

The Operation “Čekić“ has been preceded by complex months-long investigation having resulted in documenting illegal activities of the suspects.   

The arrested individuals have been brought to SIPA premises for criminal processing after which they, along with the report on criminal offence and perpetrators, will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office B&H for further proceedings.
