Last night (26/11/2015), as part of the activities continued under “Coral” operation, police officials of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) apprehended an individual with initials JČ (1961) in the area of Sarajevo.

The individual JČ is suspected of having committed, as a member of a criminal organisation, criminal offences of accepting gifts and other forms of benefits and giving gifts and other forms of benefits as well as other criminal offences.      

Following criminal processing, the arrested individual was handed over to the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office for further proceedings last night, upon whose orders the individual was arrested.

To remind, the operation “Coral“, which was carried out 8/10/2015, ten individuals were arrested due to grounded suspicion of having committed the criminal offence of organised crime in conjunction with criminal offences of tax evasion, jeopardising safety, preventing an official in the performance of official duty, aggravated theft, organising resistance and other. The facilities were searched in ten locations with the aim of finding and seizing items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

The activities in this case continue.
