„Leaving displaced and vulnerable people, especially women and children in need of our help, was not an option for me”, Senka Sojkić, police official of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) said in an interview published in “Oslobođenje” on 21/09/2014. She has been in a peacekeeping mission in South Sudan since April 2013.
Senka Sojkić, a member of BH police contingent in South Sudan, has been proposed for the most successful female police official of UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). The selection and award ceremony will be held in Canada in late September.
The police official of SIPA has also told “Oslobođenje” that she achieved significant results in her police career thanks to teamwork and work with professional counterparts who taught her to perform her job professionally. "If you're lucky enough to work with such people and yet you have the support from professional and responsible management, success and results are guaranteed," Sojkić pointed out.
