Meeting with the Director Perica Stanić and Chiefs of Organizational Units of SIPA

Minister of Security B&H Dragan Mektić Visited SIPA

Today (11/10/2015), Dragan Mektic, B&H Minister of Security, visited State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA). He attended a meeting at which the newly appointed SIPA director, Perica Stanić, introduced himself to the chiefs of organizational units of SIPA.

The current security situation in B&H and all aspects of the work of SIPA were discussed at the meeting, with special emphasis on the fight against terrorism, as the greatest security challenge nowadays, and all forms of organized crime and corruption.

Minister Mektić extended greetings to all the present, congratulated the Director of SIPA on his appointment and wished him success in his future work. He pointed out that the Ministry of Security is at SIPA’s disposal for any kind of support, for SIPA to respond to the most complex security challenges nowadays. Minister of Security stated that a lot is expected from SIPA in the future and that it is crucial in the fight against the most serious forms of crime. Mektić stressed the importance of cooperation with other security bodies and institutions, in order to give common response to all security challenges.

SIPA Director expressed his gratitude for the visit and the willingness to support SIPA. He said that he will do his job honestly and professionally, that he expects all SIPA employees to work and achieve results, and that it is his duty to ensure adequate working conditions. Stanić said that he will not hesitate to conduct investigation against anyone, and that cooperation with other bodies and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly B&H Prosecutor’s Office, is not questionable.
